Reflections at the End of a Challenging Year
At the end of a challenging year,
with hope for a heartwarming year ahead,
looking back (a little dark?)
and a future unclear…
Let us lift our eyes —
there is a Father in Heaven!
We will focus on the bloom that has begun and will bloom even more,
on the kindnesses that were and did so much good,
on miracles, and on favors —
yes, they existed! And they are many!
When we look at the beauty of the thorn,
let us ignore its sharp points,
and marvel at its colors, its structure, and its leaves.
Then,
we will raise our eyes upward
to the Almighty Father,
whose mercy is over all His works.
We will learn to see the good,
to give thanks, to praise, and also to ask…
We will remove difficulties,
experience life,
and understand that everything is a miracle!
This is how we grow —
our faith strengthens,
we connect —
our doubts dissolve.
Even the smallest pricks
we will accept with love.
When God’s love hurts,
He has a reason,
and all is for good!
We will awaken,
penetrate deeply into ourselves,
dig into our soul —
this itself is the beginning of our salvation!
We will seek,
we will cleanse,
we will purify,
and above all, we will give thanks!!!
Wishing you a good and sweet year!
A year of strong health,
happiness and peace,
joys in a happy heart.
May God fulfill your wishes for good!
May your lips speak words of faith,
may it be a year of quality livelihood!
May it be a fruitful year, Amen!
